Ar rahman to compose song for gujarat day celebrations
"It gives me immense pleasure to be commissioned by the Govt. of Gujarat to compose a song for the Gujarat Day celebrations. The song is called 'Jai Jai Garvi Gujarat' and has been written by noted writer Kavi Narmad. Other Gujarati writers on this song are Dilip Rawal, Ankit Trivedi, Sairam Dave & Chiragh Tripathi. The Hindi version has been written by Prasoon Joshi". This was ar rahman's status update in face book about his part in gujarat day celebrations. 'Jai ho' for 'jai jai garvi gujarat'.....!
GV prakash kumar sings for his uncle, ar rahman
After a gap of 17 years GV prakash kumar has sung a song for his uncle and legendary music composer Ar rahman. He had sung the famous tamil song 'chikku bukku raile' in gentleman film. He also had lent his voice to many back ground themes for his uncle. Now he is again lending his voice for his uncle's song for "Ulaga tamil manadu" - ' world tamil conference'. The album will be released at the conference by Tamil nadu cheif minister Dr. karunanidhi. GV prakash kumar is seemed to have thrilled to sing a song again for Ar rahman.
