Ar rahman track in bolton album

Academy award winning music director ar rahman is going to lend his track, 'sajna' from the hollywood movie ' couples retreat' to micheal bolston who is now on the process all set to win hearts around the globe. Rahman was originally supposed to sing the chorus on the track, Bolton will now be recording the entire track himself, including the chorus which is sprinkled with Hindi.

A R Rahman is set to attend the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland, where he will receive the Crystal Award for his achievements in the world of art and music from the world economic forum. About 2000 other participants are expect to be present at the meeting which will complement Oscar winner A.R. Rahman. A.R. Rahman will also perform a presentation on his journey through music.

After north america, europe and south africa, The jai ho world tour journey home is to be resumed at singapore.Organised by Marina Bay Sands with Base Entertainment here, the four-night gala will be held at the 2,155-seater Marina Bay Sands Grand Theater March 17-20 for which Rahman has teamed up with creative director Amy Tinkham, best known for stage collaborations with Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and Mariah Carey.

"A.R. Rahman has proved to the world that the Indian entertainment industry has come of age when he took home Academy and Grammy awards. We are proud to deliver what we promised the world, and that is that Marina Bay Sands will be a world-class entertainment destination bringing nothing but the best," Thomas Arasi, Marina Bay Sands president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

Ticket prices for the event are Singapore dollars 2,600 for 4 seats IN VIP Box; 375 for Jai Ho Seats; 265 for A Reserve; 195 for B Reserve; 145 for C Reserve and 95 for D Reserve.

Ar rahman wins BAFTA nomination

Ar rahman has won the BAFTA nomination again. He got the nomination for this prestigious award for his original score in the film 127 hours. Already he had got a BAFTA two years ago for slum dog millionaire..

Ar rahman concert in south africa

Oscar winner ar rahman will be continuing  african leg of the jai ho world tour with a concert later this year. The concert will be for celebrating the 150th year of the arrivals of Indians to the rainbow nation. He will be organising a concert in moses mahbida stadium in durban

Currently he is busy with european leg of the jai ho world tour. Later this year, after european leg, a specially designed jai ho world tour will kick off in Africa. Sam Hendrikse, chief executive of Hunta Live, who are bringing Rahman to the country, said that he was an amazing entertainer who fused Hollywood and Bollywood.
"Most importantly, it is 150 years since Indians arrived in South Africa, and Rahman was very keen to coincide his tour with the celebrations." He said the event would be a "natural fit for us, especially as we celebrate 150 years of the arrival of Indians in SA". Rahman will perform at Sun City Superbowl on November 20 before moving to Grand West in Cape Town on November 24 and Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on November 26.

I had privilege to hear jhootha hi sahi songs in internet, i'm planning to get cd's by evening. I don't wanna impose on anyone to buy original, i just request you to hear songs atleast  one time. That will make you buy the songs. This is almost his 5th straight album release in this year and the songs are astonishingly fresh and rocking.
Rashid ali scores well in call me dil and cry cry. I swear you cannot find that chinmayi is singing mayya yeshoda. Some voice modulations have worked good. No comments for shreya ghoshal there in pam paraa.
Overall the album looks good and fresh. Jhootha hi sahi is a typical ar rahman  album. Don't miss it.

After the theme was released many politicians showed displeasure over the song..Some working committee members also didn't like the song. Earlier the song was played before the working committee and they all finalised the song, If they liked at that time why they dislike now..? Main dish is not ready but they are fighting for the side dish.....!!! The CWG games is accused with corruption charges, infrastructural delays, e.t.c......They are trying to deflect the public attention from that angle....

Already most of the chennai and tamil speaking people are storming hospitals with endhiran fever.....
The function is said to be organised in malaysia. the function will be telecasted live in all tamil channels in malaysia. However We ( chennai audience ) cannot expect in our screens on july 31.
Anyway the function will be telecasted in Indian channels on August 15th.

Latest developments in kollywood says that the endhiran audio launch will not be telecasted live in tamil channels. It is also said that the function to be organised on july 31 will be just a songs preview function as endhiran film s expected ti be screened in13 countries. The audio will be formally launched in chennai for tamil audiences. However we may expect the songs to be released on endhiran songs preview function..But it's not sure...

2011 cricket world cup theme song by ar rahman!

The latest buzz around BCCI is that as one of the hosting member of 2011 cricket world cup, BCCI is gonna nominate ar rahman's name for composing music for tournament's theme song with a video. BCCI is the most powerful member of International Cricket Council and they are going to start this process in a executive committee meeting scheduled on next month. A big amount is hoped to be offered for this deal.

Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam songs -next for ar rahman

What a year this has been. Ar rahman's fifth album in this year would be chennaiyil oru mazhaikaalam. This Film is written and directed by mr. goutham menon with trisha and some debutants in lead roles. There was a rumor that the film's music score was not done by ar rahman. But some latest release have confirmed that the music of the film chennaiyil oru mazhaikaalam is done by academy award winner ar rahman. The music can be expected to hit the stores by mid august. Also in line for ar rahman is manavar dhinam. It was expected to be released in may but due to time constraints, the manavar dhinam music release got postponed to a unspecified period later this year.

Ar rahman european tour's new dates

Ar rahman regrets for postponing the dates of his european tour. Due to some circumstances which he terms as beyond his control has made this postponement. He said this in his facebook update as follows:

"Regrettably, we are having to postpone part of the current European tour. The shows that were due to take place in Zurich on July 16th, Paris July 17th and Mannheim on July 18th have had to be postponed due to circumstances beyond our control.The elaborate production and set design includes custom state of the art equipment and staging. After four highly successful concerts, the tour was derailed by a serious accident in Detroit (US), where part of the stage infrastructure collapsed, destroying most of the staging, lighting and musical instruments. The shows in North America have been rescheduled for September.I regret the inconvenience this causes and apologize to my fans and all those who have contributed to the tour. The shows will be rescheduled as soon as possible. In my 15 years of doing concerts I have always put my fans first. The accident in Detroit has had a profound effect on all of us. The band, dancers and crew and I are all highly disappointed, but it is the fans to whom I send the most heartfelt apology.The tour resumes on July 23rd in Birmingham and will play as scheduled in London on the 24th and 25th"
